A Guide to Acquiring Warp Pipes

You can place an order for the unique Warp Pipe piece of furniture from Nook Shopping. You'll find it in the Special Goods section under the Promotion tab, along with a variety of other Super Mario-themed pieces of furniture and clothing. It will cost you 5,000 Bells, and you will need to buy at least two Pipe ACNH Tatami Designs in order to complete it. If you do not see any Super Mario ACNH Lounge Designs (buy it with coupons) for sale, check the title screen to ensure that you are using Version 1.8. 0a or a later version, and then follow the unlock guide that can be found here.

Instructions On How To Teleport Using Warp Pipes
Unlike the majority of the furniture items in Animal Crossing: New Horizons, the Warp Pipe item comes with a unique feature that enables you to teleport or fast travel between two different Pipes located on your island.

Using warp pipes to teleport to different locations on your island is a very simple process. It is sufficient to position two different Pipe items on the ground and then leap into one of them. After that, your character will somehow be teleported to the other pipe and will exit it there. Since it is obvious that two Pipes are necessary for teleportation, if you only have one Pipe placed on the island, your character will simply exit the same Pipe they entered. Teleportation requires two Pipes.

Put in more than two warp pipes so that random teleports can take place.
There does not appear to be a limit on the number of Pipes that you are able to position around your island; in fact, as far as we can tell, you are free to position as many Pipes as you see fit. But what takes place when there are three or more Warp Pipes available? Which tube will you emerge from once you've completed the teleportation? When there are more than two Warp Pipes in a location, the game will choose the destination of your teleportation warp in a manner that is completely at its discretion. When you have more than two Warp Pipes installed on your island, you will not be able to exercise any control over the location to which one of them will transport you. If you want to ensure that your teleportation between two different locations is always reliable, you should limit yourself to just two Pipes.

You Can Use the Warp Pipe Teleportation in Your Own Home
Not only can you position a Warp Pipe anywhere outdoors on your island, but you can also add pipes to the interior of your home, and they are not limited to serving merely as ornamental furniture. When a player places a Pipe inside their house, the Pipe will function as a fully operational Warp Pipe, complete with all of the game's teleportation features. This means that you can actually use Pipes to teleport in and out of your house whenever you want!

The Warp Pipe Teleport Service is Available Online With Your Friends.
The Warp Pipes and the teleportation powers they grant are fully functional when used in multiplayer with other players, in contrast to certain features, such as the inability to move around furniture, which can be disabled when playing the game online.

Restrictions and Limitations on the Use of Warp Pipe
In spite of the fact that the Warp Pipe feature in Animal Crossing: New Horizons is excellent in a number of respects, players should be aware of the fact that it comes with a number of restrictions and limitations before using it.

No Customizations Allowed for the Pipe Color
Sadly, the Pipe item cannot be personalized in any way, including in terms of its color or other characteristics. This means that you are required to use the classic green color scheme for the design of your Warp Pipes, even if doing so does not mesh particularly well with the aesthetic or layout of your island.

It is not possible to teleport into or out of villager homes.
Despite the fact that you can give Pipe free ACNH items as gifts to villagers, and those villagers will place the Pipe in their homes as a piece of furniture, the teleportation functionality of the Warp Pipe does not work correctly. Taking into account all of the issues that could arise as a result of this, it is not shocking to learn this, but it is still disappointing. Your character has the ability to jump inside the villager's Pipe, but instead of being transported to another Warp Pipe on your island, they will simply jump back out when they are done!

Free Space Is Essential For Teleportation.
When you jump out of a Warp Pipe, there must be at least one empty space in the eight tiles that surround the Pipe item that is free of obstructions. Pipe will not be a valid as a possible warp destination and will be unable to function if there is no available empty space within it.

Failure to Teleport to the Secret Fourth Cliff Glitch
We are big fans of the well-known glitch that provides access to the fourth cliff level areas of your island; however, it is not possible to use Warp Pipes to teleport up onto this hidden level. This is something that we find very disappointing. Check out our Climb the 4th Level Cliff Glitch in Animal Crossing: New Horizons guide from the previous year for additional information and specifics.
