Strong Christians should always help the weak Christians. We should build up one another. We should follow the example of Christ. Whatever Jesus do is to glorify God. He gave up his life for others. We should strive to live in unity and love with one another so that we can be mutually edified. Jesus Christ is the savior of both the Jews and Gentiles. By becoming the savior of the Jews, he had fulfilled God's promises to their fathers including Abraham, Isaac and Jacob.

Jesus Christ was first sent to un curso de milagros  to the Jews. Because the Jews rejected God, the gospel is open to the Gentiles around the world. The fulfillment of these promises enable the Gentiles to praise God and give glory to him for his mercy. We have all been purchased with Christ's blood to receive redemption of our sins and eternal life. Therefore, we ought to live in unity and mutually edify each other. In this way, the Holy Spirit will fill our hearts with joy, peace and hope.

Paul is convinced that the Romans are full of goodness. He did not want the Romans to get an idea that he disapprove them although he have made some bold points in his letter. Paul said that his message is from God and not himself. He had pointed out the points in his letter so that the Gentiles can be built up and offer their lives as acceptable to God. Paul's ministry is accompanied with signs and miracles, which are done with the help of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is responsible for carrying out the works. He can work miracles, gives us strength to overcome our weaknesses, and helps us in all kinds of problems. Paul said that he is hindered from coming to the Romans because he was busy planting churches. Planting churches is God's calling in his life.

Paul said he has finished planting the churches in the regions so he plans to come to the Romans as he want to go to Spain. He hoped to visit the Romans when on his way to Spain. He hoped that the Romans will provide assistance to him for his journey. He wanted to visit Jerusalem because he must bring the contribution of the gentiles from Macedonia and Achaia to the poor there. The Gentiles ought to share their material possessions with the Jews, because it was through the Jews that they can saved. If the Jews did not reject God, salvation will not be opened to the Gentiles. After he has delivered the gifts of the Gentiles to the poor Jews in Jerusalem, he will continue his journey to Spain and visit the Romans while passing through.

The plan that Paul made eventually did not come to be fulfilled as he had planned because he was seized and taken as prisoner while in Jerusalem. He was accused of teaching against the law of Moses and defiling the temple by bringing Trophimus, a Greek, into the temple area (Acts 21:27 - 35). Paul asked the Romans to intercede to God for him, that he will be saved from persecution of the non believers in Judea and be acceptable to the believers in Jerusalem so that he can arrive in Rome refreshed
